The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) has affected a significant part of European industry since October 2023. By this date, companies that import products such as iron, steel, cement, aluminium, electricity, fertilizers, hydrogen and similar items from non-EU countries must submit a CBAM report each quarter.
The deadline for the next report is 31.10.2024
The CBAM regulations require companies to calculate the emissions from the production of imported goods and include product volumes, emissions and foreign CO2 prices in their report. Non-compliance can result in penalties of up to €50 per imported ton of CO2.
With Prospeum, we have created a simple way to fully automate the time-consuming process of report creation and information collection in just a few minutes.
